Why We Only Use Australian-Grade Copper Pipes
(And Why “Free Installation” is Never Really Free)
At Mr. Aircon PH, we never cut corners—especially on materials you cannot see but affect your aircon for the next 10–15 years.
Most complaints we fix from other installers come from substandard copper and thin insulation.
Here’s what customers need to know:
1. Australian Copper Pipes = Higher Purity, Higher Safety, Longer Lifespan
Not all copper pipes are created equal.
Australian-grade copper offers:
✔ Higher copper purity (≈99.97%)
✔ Stronger pressure tolerance (important for R32 refrigerants)
✔ More uniform wall thickness
✔ Lower risk of leaks, cracking, or corrosion
✔ Long-term stability even during extreme heat & pressure cycles
Cheaper “China copper” often used in free installations:
✘ Lower purity (more mixed scrap)
✘ Inconsistent wall thickness
✘ Very thin tubing to reduce cost
✘ Higher chance of leakage after 1–2 years
✘ Unsafe for newer high-pressure AC units (R32+)
👉 A small leak in the copper line = higher power consumption, damaged compressor, and expensive repairs later.
2. Our Insulation Thickness is Above Industry Standard
Most “free installation” packages use the thinnest insulation possible (often ¼ inch or less).
This traps heat, causes sweating, and makes your AC work harder.
Mr. Aircon PH uses:
✔ High-density insulation
✔ Minimum ½ inch or ⅝ inch thickness (varies by unit size)
✔ Proper vapor barrier to prevent condensation
✔ Longer life, quieter operation, lower electricity cost
Free Installation insulation problems:
✘ Thin insulation overheats the pipe
✘ Causes sweating on walls/ceilings
✘ Shortens the life of your AC
✘ Leads to early refrigerant leaks
✘ Higher electric bills due to inefficiency
👉 Thick, proper insulation = cold air stays cold, and your AC runs efficiently.
3. Free Installation = Free Problems
Here’s the truth:
You can’t get premium installation with premium materials for free.
Something will always be sacrificed.
Free-installation packages typically use:
⚠️ Generic copper from unknown factories
⚠️ Thin insulation
⚠️ Low-grade rubber tubing
⚠️ Cheap brackets & drainage
⚠️ No pressure testing
⚠️ Rushed labor
⚠️ No documentation or quality control
These lead to:
Early leaks
High electricity consumption
Water dripping
AC not cooling after a few months
Reinstallations (customers pay again)
Mr. Aircon PH fixes these issues every day from customers who chose “free installation” first.
4. Why Mr. Aircon PH Costs More — And Saves You More
We invest in:
Australian-made copper
Thick, high-density insulation
Proper flaring tools and materials
Vacuum pump down to 500 microns
Pressure test procedures
Technician training & accountability
Our installation lasts long, prevents problems, and protects your AC warranty.
Our promise:
You pay once, install once, and enjoy worry-free cooling for years.
Most “free” installs end up costing more in repairs than the actual savings.
Short Version for Customer Messaging
Mr. Aircon PH only uses Australian-grade copper pipes and thick insulation.
Why? Because AC problems start from what you don’t see inside your walls.
Australian copper is stronger, purer, and safer—while free-install teams use thin, low-quality copper and cheap insulation to cut costs.
The result?
✔ Better cooling
✔ Lower electricity bill
✔ No leaks
✔ Longer aircon lifespan
The other result?
✘ “Free installation” now = expensive repairs later. Expensive investments deserve the best materials.
